Aide-Memoire
For the Fallen 11.11.2009
In Australia we commemorate our veterans with The Ode. It comes from a poem by Laurence Binyon called For The Fallen, and seems appropriate today:
They shall grow not old,
As we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun,
And in the morning
We will remember them. Lest we Forget.
