Had a really interesting discussion on the impact of data sovereignty on cybersecurity and reliability as part of the [Pearcey Conversations online seminar 30 June 2021](https://heritage.pearcey.org.au/2021-june-conversation-data-sovereignty/?ref=katecarruthers.com).

We discussed the complications of laws and policies that might require data to reside in a given country, and how that might be complicated by the challenge that, if using cloud systems for reliability and security, may need to keep data across multiple jurisdictions.
