# Twitter not so frivolous after all?

This post over at [Fast Company](http://blog.fastcompany.com/archives/2007/10/26/technology%5Ffireblogging.html?partner=rss&ref=katecarruthers.com) gives an excellent example of a non-trivial use for [Twitter](http://www.twitter.com/?ref=katecarruthers.com) based on how people used it during the recent fires in California. Here again ordinary people are finding meaningful ways to adopt technology.
