# What do I mean by frugal living?

This question came up as I was telling a buddy - [Neerav](http://www.bhatt.id.au/?ref=katecarruthers.com) \- about this blog the other day. It made me realise that a working definition of

frugal living

might just come in handy.  
  
The inspiration for starting this blog was a desire to start living a more simple life and to reduce my impact on the planet.   
  
Thus this blog is a place to think about and discover ways:  

- of reducing dependence on retail therapy
- to stop stop buying unnecessary stuff
- to eat better and more sustainable food
- to find ways of living a more uncomplicated life
- to save money

So

frugal living

is really about finding a more simple and sustainable way of living.
